We have recently partnered with a leading media agency who after a period of transition, are eagerly looking to bring on a EMEA Strategy Director to deliver best in class content strategy for some of the world’s largest B2B/B2C brands. In a portfolio that spans across verticals such as financial services, insurance, lifestyle and technology.

This is an individual contributor role that reports to the VP, Global Head of Strategy and the General Manager, Global. The successful candidate is equal parts strategist and tactician, and is passionate about elevating the content marketing industry. They have strong client intuition and is in touch with the market, bringing a strong point of view to industry conversations relating to content’s role in brand and demand, ROI, marketing technology and creativity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage directly in major strategy delivery across the business, supporting key resources and taking direct ownership of key strategies.
  • Create innovative content strategies for B2B and B2C clients that will deliver on objectives.
  • Write, oversee and approve all content and social media strategies prior to implementation.
  • Lead client workshops, training and briefing sessions, and provide the necessary documentation to accompany the sessions.

Education

  • Degree in marketing, journalism or similar.

Industry experience

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience working in a similar role for either a digital agency or similar agency environment.

Technical

  • Strong commercial acumen / awareness of brand development.
  • Track record in using insights tools to identify strategic opportunities
  • Proven understanding of content strategies and the key opportunities for amplification
  • An understanding of different audiences and how to create content using appropriate and effective tone, style and formats.

  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to deadline in a fast-moving
  • environment.
  • Team player with a sense of humor.

Communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently liaise with business decision-makers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships.
