Head of Talent Acquisition – Europe

A globally admired and rapidly growing pharmaceutical company is looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to head up their European Function.  This role is based in Wuppertal, Germany and applications are welcome from anyone open to relocating.

This fantastic opportunity centred on implementing European recruitment strategy within the company.  By collaborating with all business lines and functions you will ensure all recruitment needs of the organisation are being met.  You’ll be responsible for driving forward the hiring footprint, implementing new processes and platforms, to ensure the recruitment process is as efficient as possible.  You will receive a competitive salary, the opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic and varied role and work with an ambitious and highly rewarding company.  The role will be office based with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week.  Office locations are Wuppertal and Leverkusen and you could be based out of either one, with travel required between the two.

Reporting to the Head of HR for Europe, you will be responsible for heading up European hiring and contributing to the global hiring strategy in line with key business objectives and industry trends. Other responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with stakeholders in the business to develop comprehensive workforce plans
  • Using knowledge of market trends to provide value-added perspective on how best to source and attract talent.
  • Directing Talent Acquisition team members across European counties to support open requisitions as well as coaching and mentoring.
  • Partnering across all business units to ensure the search function efficiently and effectively meets the growing need for talent.
  • Establishing effective working relationships with Stakeholders to gain clear understanding of resource requirements.
  • Developing and executing talent search strategies to identify and attract highly qualified candidates, using the latest sourcing techniques.

Head of Talent Acquisition – Europe Requirements

l  Over 10 years relevant recruiting work experience, with expertise in building recruiting infrastructure.

l  Strong Business acumen and market intelligence

l  Global exposure would be preferred, project management skill with strong execution.

l  Good communication in English, oversea background is preferred.

l  Leadership in managing cross-sites with limited guidance.

l  Strong stakeholder management.

l  Strong data analytics, reporting and presentation skills.

l  Can work under pressure and in a mixed culture,

l  Align and demonstrate Leadership Competencies.
